Does anyone else expierience weeks of crazy horniness, then weeks of feeling like you dont want to have sex? I think it might be my birth control (depo), but im not sure if thats the reason. Some weeks all i wanna do is have sex 24/7 then all the sudden it switches off and i dont feel like doing it for awhile. Reason?

Are you sitting down? :lol - Cuz you could very well be experiencing some perimenopausal symptoms.

    :whoa

Hormones start to make small adjustments as you're approaching full menopause, and it can be rather erratic. It can start even 10 years before you actually enter menopause. This is just ONE possible reason.

Your BC could very well be doing it, too. Is this a new method you are using? Talk to your doctor, if so.

Also, loads of women in your age group have battles with their libido. Just ask some of the guys on here :rofl Even the most sensuous in nature can really struggle with their desire to stop everything (let's face it - we're living VERY busy lives :ugh ) and hop into bed.

I'm sure others will have some good reasons for you to think about, as well.

[IMG]Oh man, now why the hell did you have to say that? Here I thought I was just hitting my sexual peak, and you say my outrageous horniness is just due to my estrogen's last hoorah?

Honey - I've been FULLY menopausal for almost 6 years - been the BEST six years of my life!! We've probably had more sex in my menopausal state that our entire child-rearing years.

Can't find it now (the thread is probably too old -how ironic :lol) - but I listed several of the blessings of being menopausal!! So, stop cryin', girl :p

An ex of mine took the annual bc shot; I think it was depo. It totally screwed up her system. She went to several specialists, a university hospital and a couple different clinics. Nobody seemed to be able to help her. Then one of her friends told her she'd had similar problems after going onto the (depo?) shot. It turned out that was the problem.

OOOOPS! Just noticed - - that "42" at the bottom of her Screen Box isn't her age - it's her SexBux. :rofl Lordy-be - I probably just told a 19 year old that she was experiencing pre-menopausal symptoms!

    Somebody shoot me...... :lol

Isn't the female cycle four-weekly that peaks at ovulation? So there are weeks of less than average arousal followed by a period of can't get enough which tapers again to less than average arousal. Men are more simple, as long as we aren't exhausted we're good to go at any time.

I get that way as well and I am a guy, so I am not sure if it is a female hormonal issue. I think it is a stress issue, as we stressed our sex drive increases. That is my opinion
