I know this has been done in the past, but with it being the beginning of the year and everyone trying to get back on track, I thought I'd start a new thread. What do you do to stay fit and healthy? Anyone into supplements? Special diets?

I go to the gym 5-6 days a week, normally I take classes, Zumba, body works, step, kick boxing.
I am eating a no meat no dairy diet mainly.

For me it's all about exercise and a sensible diet. No supplements. People around here drink far too much beer and soda so I just cut back on the excessive amounts of bad calories and it all takes care of itself.

What I often do is running. But I do lots of other sports when I have the opportunity. I can say I practically only leave the house for work and sports.

About food, I try not to snack and I don't eat bread. While I do eat healthy meals, I'm not obsessed about it and go for junk food sometimes, like chocolate ice cream.

I step on the scales at least once a week and if I've put anything on, I lose it quickly, because I don't want to ever be overweight.

Mine consists of 4 days of strength training, I split it up by muscle groups. 3 of those days I also do 20-30 min of some sort of cardio. One long cardio day (45-60min) And one yoga day (sometimes).
I take an amino acid supplement, great for muscle recovery and energy. I also drink a sugar free energy drink before workouts and a protein recovery drink (hmmmm? :)) afterwards.
I pretty much eat what I want. Which is probably not ideal! I need to work on incorporating more whole foods for overall health....and less of these m&m's I'm snacking on right now! :)

I have been trying to more meat than usual. Hamburger or steak at least daily. I have been running the chainsaw some and will be building some fence in the future. I am staying away from everything green. In all seriousness I have been on the treadmill some. I really do need to get rid of my gut but I do like beef and pork. #redneckprobs

The last few months have been awful for me in terms of fitness but I got back together with my running partner and will be running 3 - 4 times a week. Hoping to get started with Dumbbells and ab work

Maybe if I get inspiration I will get back to yoga.

I confess, I have really got off track bad. My normal workout took a slump in July and have never got back on, longest slump in a while. I usually do 5 days at the Y on machines and HIT weight training alternating different muscle groups each day, Boxing drills on heavy bag 3 to 4 times a week in the evening. I need to get back on track I put on a few pounds as well since the slacking. I do continue my supplements I do a few herbs. Beet root, E, D,C and the good fish oil luckily my insurance picks the cost up, its about 200 bucks a bottle, L arginine to fire the nitric oxide up the get that blood flow banging. I need to get back at the Y.

Fitness: racquetball one morn / week, gym for stretching / resistanve once a week

Diet: chicken, cigars and red bull zero & vodka

Stable weight like @sensless....scale once a week, drop any extra quickly

I keep the exercise a non negotiable event...need to keep metsbolism from slowing down

Most important part of my routine is.. Eating every 3 hrs. And getting enough sleep. As far as the workout, split my workout into pushing movements one day, (chest and shoulders).. Then legs and pulling movements (back and biceps) the other day. Abs/core every workout. Usually two rest days between workouts, ( I'm 50 and it takes a bit to recover..) most exercises will be a total of 3 sets, totaling around 25 reps for the 3 sets . And I only do compound lifts. And keep the total workout to less than 60 mins. As for supps, I take bullnox for a pre workout. And a whey isolate shake before and after. I have put on about 15 lbs so far .. But as I said, the hardest part is getting enough quality calories and enough quality sleep..
