So my girlfriend has been for a couple photoshoots... Nothing on the professional level... These amature guys take her pics for her and their portfolio...

Does anyone think more than just picture taking goes on at there photoshoots? Sometimes the guys are young and not that old... And my girlfriend tells me that she is insecure, especially around her stomach region (when she DOES NOT NEED TOO BE cause she is skinny as hell) and she wears scandelicious outfits bearing a lot of her body... So, how does that work out??

Anyone have advice for me.... :ugh :ugh :(

She could insist that a friend accompany her on the shoots. Most serious amatuers just want the experience and the photos for their portfolio. They shouldn't mind if a friend comes along.

I'm a professional photographer. I seldom do any shoots where it's just me and the subject. There's usually either my assistant with me, someone with the subject, or both.

I did a photoshoot with a professional photographer out of minneapolis last year...he was completely ok with someone being there, he would have rather that it wasnt my boyfriend because of the jealousy but he appreciates that the models he works with are concerned with their own welfare first... means they've got at least a lil brains

It's common to feel very jealous over your girlfriend posing for others. What exactly is the nature of these photos? If she does not go nude or partially nude I definately do not think you have much to worry about. As far as anything else happening during the shoot why don't you suggest to go with her?

Are you sure all the photogs are guys? I've done 2 shoots, and both my photogs were female. They also had assistants with them, which was nice. All the ones I know personally are also female, coincidentally, I'm a female photographer now too. (Perhaps my circle of friends is small, lol... it's not just me, myself and I... I swear! hahaha)

his jealousy was warranted, we had been having some issues around the time of my shoot.... and some of the photos were lingerie and seminude.... the photographer was a 48 year old man, but the makeup artist/assistant was the coolest gay guy i've ever met

i see his point about the lingere....
it is kinda private.. only things your b/f should see you in, and you are lettinga guy take pics and he could be sending them out, who knows where~

If the photographer won't let the model bring an escort, don't shoot with him. That is a sure sign that there is an alterior motive.

I don't know, Spice - sometimes you gotta follow your instincts. I think this might be one of those times.
You two need to talk. It's really not even a metter of 'trust', It could be a matter of reputation (internet photos...) and safety.
You seem like you truly care. Hopefully she will appreciate this, and you both can come to some sort of loving compromise.

she doesn't even get to see proofs? or receive any prints or a cd or anything? wow

i would let her know you are concerned for her safety. I'll admit my ambition to model conflicted with my man's concern for me... but he was right in the end
