Yesterday, I took Amante on a 5 hour jaunt through the state park near me. It had poured hard the night before and the trails were a mess. I could not believe how much moss, lichen, mushrooms, and other assorted fungii had popped up, seemingly, overnight.

A lot of the pics were taken right off of Amante, such as the slug pic. The ones near the pond and of the large "Mother" mushroom were taken with me on my knees in the mud.

I've never taken a photography class and don't know how to use half the settings on my camera, but I still have fun sharing my pics.

    Thanks for looking.

Why, thank you Igor, for that totally spontaneous and unsolicited response. :rofl

    That's a lotta 'shrooms! :lol

I should take a pic of the huge mushroom that appeared on our lawn this weekend. It's ginormous!

I see you can find good composition for the majority of your shots. You have a good eye CL.

Please do, and post it here. It's amazing how diverse fungii is. No matter where I ride, I am always on the lookout for more photo ops.

    Thanks, Kat.

Thanks, Cookie baby. I really respect your opinion, as you have kin that have had pics published.

    Aw, thanks, hon.

Yes, I cannot ride through these areas and help but be taken by their beauty. I didn't get very far on my 5 hour ride, yesterday, because I had to stop and stare so much. (sigh)

Speaking of riding, I'm off to stretch Amante's legs, and then my own.

    Tally-ho, muthafukahs! :phat

Sorry CL. I wanted to grab a pic, but my wife didn't know that and ran over it with the lawn tractor. D'Oh! I'd have taken a pic of the remains, but that wouldn't be nearly as impressive. :(
