i like to keep fit and my main activity for this is swimming so was wondering what if any did others do to keep fit in or out of the bedroom?
Best sex wifey and I have had since we got 'older' was the summer I trained for a half ironman triathlon and the NYC marathon. It really made a difference. Maybe my current woes are a result of being in les than prime shape right now. I'm sure that Backcheck has an opinion on this one.
I have to stay a head of a disability so Treadmill and Swimming are our main events. We have both a pool and treadmill so it works out. We also go on nature walks about once a month or more.
Being a contractor, I'm doing construction on a daily basis, on top of that, we have a home gym. Treadmill, bike trainers, elliptical, weight machine and free weights. On weekends we do 40 to 60 miles at least on bikes. Weekend nights we usually also walk. My fit bit averages about 15000 steps a day, wife does 24000 a day on average.
I run 2-3 times per week (5- 13 miles each time). Plus I do kickboxing and weight training. I absolutely think it improves sex--you feel better, look better and have more energy and confidence.
I'd be lying if I said I made a concentrated effort on fitness. Both jobs require me to constantly be on my feet though, which sometimes feels like a workout in itself...
I'm former boxer who really never got out of shape. I still run 3 days a week, spar, do light weights, and do push ups every morning. I'm 41 and feel great!
Stopped hitting the gym 4 months ago. Kids and Work sched doesn't allow for it right now. But I expect to be caught up in a couple weeks and am looking forward to hitting it again.!!!
My Longwinded Reply: Finally on track with the fitness thing (lots of really poor lifestyle choices over the course of my life). Hit the absolute ceiling of needing to drop weight and entirely reform habits (had the doc say verbatim, "If you don't change, you will be dead before your 25th") almost had my sister take me out back and put me down like Old Yeller. Had gotten to around 513lbs (at my height/age that's a 65.9BMI)... That was 4 years ago now... Knocked off all the stupid shit I was doing to my body (except smoking - still fighting that one) and spent two years not doing much but at least not adding to the problem (as much). Call it 2 years of benign neglect. Over the last 2 years been doing basic cardio and muscle tone exercises as well as proper balanced diet/nutrition. Lots of water. Lots of basic vitamin supplements (no weird homeopathy stuff or "workout blends" or anything like that). Lots of walking and stretching. Have dropped down to (most recent weigh-in) 379lbs. Still a long way to go on overall physical fitness... As far as "sexercise" I do male kegels everyday. Helps us Fat Guys (and normal/fit guys, too) stave off ED and other nasty side effects of (more than) excessive weight, stress, etc. Don't know if you count karezza practice to be a workout or for fun or both, but recently got into that, too. (Don't know what "karezza" is? Seriously, look it up - could be of interest to lots of you out there.)
My wife had her desk replaced by a standing station at work so she never sits at work, even for lunch. She prefers it. Forgot to mention I still play hockey when the rink is open. And anyone that knows anything about hockey, you won't last more than one shift if you're not in shape... and I'm 50 playing with high school and college players. I just hurt a lot more afterwards LOL.
I haven't, Doc down the street has lost a couple. Number of cuts and bruises, few scars, couple of broken fingers from breaking a couple of faces though. Some of these cocky young guys need a lesson from time to time.
Weren't you one of those cocky young men at one time? LOL I imagine that you do show them more than a few lessons. Kudos!
Who, ME? Nahhhh LOL. We had a couple of HS that thought they were hot shit, Sean put one through the boards, I put the other into their bench over the boards. Changed their attitude when a guy 20+ yrs older lays them out, both on and off the ice. Every time my son gets an attitude, I remind him, he may be taller, but I WILL kick his ass up, down, and sideways.
This put a smile on my face. Love how you think! Sometimes the young ones do need to be put in check!

I spend about 2 hours a day in the gym lifting weights. That along with anabolic steroids and Cialis makes for some very "intense" sex.
