I was wondering whether anyone noticed a connection between young women learning feminism and them starting to demand cunnilingus? The reason I ask is because of an episode that occured with my friend during college. He had a girlfriend whom he rarely went down on, and she seemed fine with it. However, after she took a course in women's studies in college, she became much more foreceful in demanding he perform oral sex on her. He talked to the boyfriends of other girls in this course and the same thing occured.
In fact, during one make out session they had, his girlfriend slowly pushed his head down her body until his head was in her pussy. She then grabbed his head and told her to eat her out. She hadn't done this before, and he wondered whether learning about feminism made her more forceful sexually.
PS-I'm not trying to knock feminism, I'm just really curious about its relationship to women wanting oral sex.:)

    Correlation is not always causation.

I'd say yes. Not in any direct and suspicious fashion, but if they feel all empowered and mighty generally (by "they" I mean anyone, women, men, geese) they would likely carry it into the bedroom - they may not be doing it on purpose or even realising it.

If she had a promotion at work or bought a dress she thought she looked good in it would probably have the same effect.

Very true, though in that situation even I'd be suspicious. Of course there wouldn't have been any issue with me going down either, but w/e. :D

I think it was a coincidence. A class on feminism wouldn't make a girl decide she wants it, it could however give her the confidence to ask or demand it.

No, the rapid sexualization and experimentation of our culture made women experiment more, get that done, realize how amazing it can be and demand it because it's awesome ;) That's how I hope it happened.

I would agree. I don't demand it, but if a partner won't do it he won't be a partner for long.

It might have been just a maturity thing. That is, it wasn't happening because of the feminism course, but merely because they were at that age, becoming more aware of what they wanted, and less afraid to ask for or demand it.

Same thing might have happened if their elective was World History, or Anthropology, or Statistics - that'd be my guess.

I think clitoral orgasms and your tongue being more dextrous and softer than your fingers or penis makes women want cunnilingus. Don't ya think?

I think for anyone the idea of someone putting their head between your legs and eating you is irresistible. My wife used to be self conscious about it but not anymore. We are planning to have a night on the dining room table where she is the meal and then I am the meal. Dinner will never be the same again.

I'm not so sure that it does. A woman that enjoys it, feminist or not, should be able to ask for it, and a lover should be willing to give it, if it matters that much. I don't regard asking for a blowjob as a chauvinistic act, either.

Not much to add here, except that I have never really understood the problems some guys have with cunnilingus. To me, it was always much 'hotter' sexual fantasy than getting a BJ.

I wouldn't know. I never had a woman demand oral sex beacause I was too fast diving between her legs for anyone to worry about feminism. Besides... Feminism? What century are we in?

I hope they aren't doing a study guide by Andrea Dworkin. She pretty much said that heterosexual intercourse is purest form of man's contempt for women.

I would not pin it to feminism and she can be one who is waking up to her sexuality sooner or later. Some women are more assertive or dominant.
Also this is great to have a woman who knows what she likes, how she likes. Nothing worse than fumbling around and never know whether you are pleasuring someone because she is too shy about sex.
It's the same as a guy telling his girl how to give him oral really.

Wow lucky guy. It's always nice to see there are girls who love getting oral. People have just a lot more outlets to find out information about sex now. Women asking for cunnilingus at a younger age is probably part of that. Which is great, because there is nothing I like more. What I would really like is to get my wife to the point where she is comfortable being aggressive about asking for oral like that. For example, I've gotten women to "ride my face" before but you could tell the "newness" of the situation made them hold back their enjoyment a bit. I'd love for her to initiate oral with her on top or from behind. That'd be awesome.

This reminds me of some statements I have seen criticizing pornography. If the man was giving the woman oral sex, he was essentially "helping himself to her most intimate parts", if it was the other way round, she was of course forced into being "submissive". No matter what they did, it was seen as men abusing women.:ugh
