Do you shop on the USA's number one retailer. Here are some that join you in the salubrious surrounds of Wal-Mart.

Yes I shop at Walmart. I have seen some sights nothing that bad.
We have a homeless man who lives in our local Walmart.
You can't beat the prices. But I much prefer Target.

A homeless man in a grocery store? Wow!!!

Target? Not heard of that. Is that a big store like Wal-Mart?!

Just the look and feel of a Wal-Mart disgusts me. I guess it doesn't help I shop in Waitrose in the UK and do not like Asda

Occasionally, Usually shop an actually grocery store. Target is actually a little cheaper here. I prefer to shop when possible where stores and suppliers provide good jobs. We do a have a distributer local who pays very well. I choose to support them and buy American whenever I can. Merica!!!

Not all walmarts are created equal. Some are actually very nice!
Targets a big box store like Walmart, it's smaller and more upmarket.

It's been years since I've even been inside one. I used to shop there because it was the only store nearby that sold the brand of makeup I wore at the time, and for the cheaper razor blades. But the makeup brand stopped selling in the states a while back, and I found a cheaper online alternative for razor blades. Target is another story though. I avoid it just because it sucks you in and drains your bank account lol.

This is the type of store I go into. Perhaps you can see why the Wal-Mart and now Target concept baffles me.

I've been into Wal-Mart two times - same one and that was enough. I wanted to see what it was like. I wasn't disappointed.

I have never been in a WalMart. I have family members who have worked there and I don't like the way they treat their employees. I'd rather pay more anywhere else to support better business practices.

You are comparing it too a grocery store. I don't actually do my main groceries shopping at Walmart.
But I do shop there regularly for other things.

I've been to a few Fresh Thyme Farmers Market stores in Indiana - they don't seem too bad. But since visiting family most of the groceries have already been bought.

That said I have had food the odd time from Chick-fil-a which I quite like despite my hatred of fast good and manufactured food stuff. The sauce there is yummy.

So Walmart and Target are not grocery stores? You will know of Waitrose right?

They do sell groceries, but they sell a lot more besides. Groceries is only a small portion of the store.

Waitrose? The U.K. Store. I have never been I one.

I spent maybe 20 minutes time one and time two about 10 minutes. I cannot remember the grocery store I used to go in with my grandmother in down town Salt Lake when I was younger. I was only young at the time but I remember people commenting on my British accent.

I love Waitrose. The quality and the service. Yes you pay more than say Sainsbury's and much more than ASDA but I like the quality. I used to go to Marks & Spencers but struggled to buy everything. MrsDSG likes their fruit produce.

My wife worked 13 years at walmart part of it during the Sam Walton days, they was actually a good company to work for back in those days. Like Sweet said earlier not all walmarts are set up the same. The supercenters down south have some of the biggest produce displays you will see anywhere. Far as their business practices the biggest problem I have with them is their Guerrilla marketing techniques they use to squash competition has been very detrimental to small business. I'm not a fan of any of the huge super stores I like to get in and out. So a 40,000 sq ft Kroger vs a 300,000 sq ft wallyworld I'll go with the kroger store everytime.

Buying direct from independent producers is good. Certainly meat from the Farm tastes better.

When I'm in the USA, if I need to buy something, I just go to the closest store. I've been to Walmart, Kmart, Target, 7-11 and other shops the names of which I don't remember. These chains don't exist here. I don't know much about them.

Everywhere I've been, the experience was the same: the kindest people, good service, smiles and everything was a lot cheaper than it is here.

I've never witnessed any unpleasant situation in those shops.

I go to Walmart when I want something that they have a good price on. I do my grocery shopping at a locally own store.

I try not to. The store is to big and croweded. I also don't like how Wallmart treats the company I work for. They seem to let the Big nationwide companies, Have all the shelf space they want. And force the smaller regional companies out. Or dictate what products we sell on our shelves.:(
