Some men here have a way with words. I'm not talking erotic writing, but just the way they're so special when posting about anything. Beautiful use of words, careful with orthography and details like that. When I read some SF men, I get excited.

I must confess, I've already picture myself having fun with their groin while they'd talk about something.

Does anyone feel the same, or I'm just a freak?

Nope, not by any of the men :p

But seriously, there are some women that post that I definitely enjoy reading. Even though, I'm reading their typed words, they're expressive enough that it almost seems like I'm listening to them talk.....if that makes any sense.

I had to look up the word "orthography." So, by definition, I'm out.:D

I'm just impressed if they use proper grammar and punctuation, no matter the gender.

I am terrible when it comes to writing a post, I rarely expand on my original thought and hence I write/post so little. But I sure do wish I had the talent for it now...

I am very impressed by the posters that can write paragraph after paragraph to really show how they feel or describe a situation in great detail. I think it would take quite a bit of concentration to do that (and more).

a suitable line of bullshit about pertinent subject matter oft times becomes a calling card to more complex conversations.

I do tend to get put off by guys that can't spell. Maybe I prefer evidence of proper education. After all, my mom was a teacher.

All jokes aside and to put the shoe on the other foot....

There are a few ladies on here, one in particular, that can write things so sensual and seductive that I've had to walk away from the computer at times. FREAKING HAWT.....

It's definitely encouraging to encounter somebody who can compose complete sentences, and assemble them into coherent paragraphs! Must I take the question in its strictest sense, as posted, and limit my comments to the effects of men's writing on women? Or may I generalize the topic to the attraction between any two people, created solely by written language?

Yes, I, a male, guy-person, of the masculine gender, occasionally find myself attracted to a female girl-person of the opposite sex based on her writing. I don't think I'd describe it as a specifically sexual arousal unless the writing was intended to be sexual or erotic in nature - or at least personally romantic. Even so, I believe good writing indicates high intelligence. Furthermore, the most important organ for sexual pleasure and satisfaction is located between the ears, so when I encounter good writing I imagine that person is smarter than average and would be a very enjoyable partner.

I was in my 30's, and very married, when I figured out that I was attracted to women with exceptional intelligence. The evidence was there from my teen years but I hadn't put all the pieces together and articulated the result. (Interestingly, other people observed this tendency before I grasped it. The (much older) friend who arranged for my wife and I to meet saw the intelligence factor as a significant point of compatibility.) Due to circumstances, my wife and I wrote to each other - sight unseen - real letters on real paper - for about 3-1/2 months before we met in person. During that time I think we became much more personally acquainted, and mentally connected, than if we had been in a traditional dating relationship for that period. By the time we actually laid eyes on each other we were already "in like" with each other. We were married only one year plus two weeks after our first meeting, and recently celebrated 43 years together.

P.S. - My mind is churning, trying to figure out what would be the first-language of somebody who uses the word "orthography" rather than the simple American synonym "spelling", or even a broader term like "standard usage".

P.P.S - As I wrote this I've been listening to a YouTube mix of Moody Blues songs. I certainly don't want to sleep with any of those guys but I'd sure like to know them personally!

Do I get conciliatory points (or something of that sort) for having the ability to write well, even if I don't oft use it? o_O
