So i got's me sone Derma-logical piercings yesterday....
my best friend works in a piercing place, i only popped in to say hello, and ended up deciding to get my nose pierced...which she blatantly fucked up!
so i then decided i'd get the derma's ive been thinking about for a while now!

what do you think? ive had a much worse reaction than i thought i would have actually, but i like em :p

    plus...theyre a little bloody here

the idea is that my collarbones are now a little balanced out, as i didn't wanna get another collarbone tattoo, but felt it was lacking on the opposite side....

I think it'll look really nice once it heals up right. How's your nose? Not too bad I hope.

Officer Steve, nose not too bad now, just painful when I touch it.....can't believe she did that! Ah well

See, that would ruin the fun for me. I saw those and immediately posed the question of them being magnetic. If they were, then it'd be cool to hang other things off of them and such. That said, I did come up with another cool idea for something like that that would involve a tattoo first. Would be the first thing I can think of that would give me reason to get a tat.

I've seen snake eyes and stuff done with the tat and micro derm as the eyes....
You can't really pull on them too much, they can remove themselves with an appropriate ammount of force

Hrm, then it appears I need to do some reading up. I did a google for dermalogical piercings and got nothing about what you've got. Mostly got crap about skin care and lotions and such. Do you know of any sites with lots of info on this?

Okay, that got me the info I was looking for. Sounds like in theory once healed and skin grows through the holes of the base it would be relatively secure, but the issues of migration and the risk that they could be pulled out in simple situations like during sleep or whatnot leaves me to do nothing more than keep an interested eye on it for now. Very cool, nonetheless.

As far as your nose, what kind of piercing were you getting? Nostril or septum? I've been debating a septum piercing for a long time now.

i'd never allow any man to tell me otherwise....

and what you atcually mean Volk, is that YOU PERSONALLY don't like or enjoy tattoo's or piercings on women.

my men enjoy running their fingers down my tattoo's, whilst their hands grab my stomach and caressing the hearts on my skin, they love biting and tugging at my piercings, causing just a little pain when they let it pull back.
there are a stupid number of website, tv shows and the like focussed on attractive tattoo's and piercings on women.
playboy girls these days have them.
the 'sexiest women alive' have their own little gems.

your view is your own...i respect that, but please dont comment on my picture about how undecent they are, and act like your world is gold. state your oppinion...which is not fact.

    mitt...boys certainly should :p

Tex...the nose was just the nostril, i find septum piercings a little off....but id had one already, and my friend was trying to manoeuvre around the old scar tissue........FAIL...thats ok...i'll have to wax her legs again

You remarked that women shouldn't have them.
And perhaps it mainly revolves on the company you keep, but I have met very few men who have disliked them on women. My father being the only tht comes to mind.

Let's jut say that since I ot irat piercing, there hasn't been a ONE that's complain about any o the ways I choose to show my life story on my body

Tsk tsk. Don't make claims like that without some kind of supporting evidence. They do nothing to help your point.

Says who exactly? I say my body is my own, and I'll pretty much do whatever I want with it.

You'd probably do best to stick to that mantra right there.

    What exactly does that matter?

    mmmm sweet revenge :D

Back to the OP - it looks gory & creepy.

Skin grows through the holes? That's nasty.

I was happier before I knew that, now every time I see a cute piercing I am going to be a little sick.

    Onto the current argument:

I don't see bodies as a temple or any of that, but I can certainly understand an aversion to "body-mod". It is a little weird, but so is smoking - I mean, intentionally inhaling concentration pollution? But I do it, so who am I to point out the weirdness in other people's behaviour, I'm not about to start telling people they should be proud of the bodies they were born with and never change them - In the long run, it's not much different from clipping your nails.

Not on the outside. There is a backing plate that is part of the post that comes through the skin from behind. It has holes in it so that the skin grows back together through it, making a stronger anchor. All of the growth is beneath the epidermis, so it's not visible.
