BMW M3 Police car
I guess these days in certain places it pays to pull over and get arrested, rather than trying to outrun the law, unless you have a Nitro oxcide fuel injected turbo boosted dream supercar...
I was coming home from work a few days ago and saw my home town's new police car. I didn't know what it was at first and looked pretty cool. I may have to call up and ask them about it.
Yeah the Police these days are getting some hot cars for pursuits these days ...
Would be cool if you can find out what it was Ryan..
does america really have a campus police car ?
We had campus police and security. The security officers patrolled campus in these white pick-up trucks with "U of O Campus Security" written on them. They carried nightsticks and guns with rubber bullets. The University of Oregon campus was a well known riot campus then and probably still is. Every Halloween students would riot, about what I don't know. It was just rioting for the sake of rioting. They'd pull traffic signs out of the ground and set fire to stuff. Anyway, that's why our campus security were armed.
Just a lil different then the Crown Vic huh?
I've seen a few Chargers and Z28's, but nothing like that.
Thankyou Puss for filling me in on that, as i wasnt sure if it was a micky take or not lol...
but wierd that they do actualy have a converted in looks golf cart hehe
Hmm mm a little different from eastenders, but you should se some of the schools in london...pretty violent some of them, not how schools were back when i was in them, these days its knives and guns.
Yeah kinda crazy, the police have gotten some hot cars these days, a lot of those are from europe , some from America...
England as far as i know used to have 2 or 3 Porsche 959 police cars
Nissan Skyline police car hehe
It is. I honestly don't see the point in buying expensive ass cars like that for cops.. I mean what do they do when they have to put someone in the backseat of there Vette? I'd like to see that happen.
Im not 100% sure but in LA and california dont they have a few labergini (sp??) police cars??
In most cases the cars aren't purchased, and few see active duty. Most are recovered vehicles from drug rings, etc. And most are used for display purposes, parades, Drug Awareness, etc. I think some of those above are edited photos, but I'm not 100% sure. Of course, there are exceptions. Many departments in the States do use Mustangs and Camaros as high-speed pursuit vehicles. And I believe the Dodge Charger is now added to that list. But of course, the suspects are actually hauled off in a more traditional car.
Even still, that Lotus Esprit looks hella sweet as a police car! :tup
Yeah those supercar police cars are just meant for the chase ( hot pursuit) once the crims have been stoped the other slower cars catch up and they are the ones that transport the crims...)
Yeah im not sure about cali but i put up some lambi cop cars..
I've seen a few Chargers around here. They think they are the shit. :lol I think I've only seen a Z28 2 or 3 times. They have also brought in an '06 Mustang that looks fuckin' awesome, but it's an undercover. I wish I could drive those cars around all day.
The state troopers in Oregon drive Camaros. I guess they need muscle cars with lots of power and speed to chase down those speeders.
Well as i said the english police ( high end) had a few 959 porsches, those have been used before but in extremly high end cases, not for everyday crimes.
Lamborghini Police Car - Dont even TRY TO RUN !
Some European highways are designed for speed and there is no speed limits in certain areas. This Lambordhini Police Car is probably the best way to discourage anyone from a police chase.
Also America isnt really the country where a lot of these supercars are, europe is the place especialy Germany where speed limits are way way way past those slow 55mph limits in the usa.
So in countries in Europe and even Asia there are needs for extrem police cars.
I always thought these looked cool when I lived in Oregon. Here's the State Trooper vehicle, the Chevy Camaro:
I like Camaros too Puss!
