All counts of murder- Not Guilty.

4 Counts of lying to officers- Guilty.

And this is why I hate the judicial system and the alleged "peers" that decided her fate.

I get the feeling that not even her parents believe in her story (actually stories). In fact, it seems like NOBODY believes in her stories, given her conviction, so how she got away with this is beyond me.

That woman should rot in a secluded jail cell for the rest of her life. She doesn't deserve to have a life when that little girl doesn't.

7 women (5 I believe were mothers) and 5 men on the jury. They were her peers. Does it make it right? No. Do we know what the actual evidence was? No. So as stupid and disgusting as the verdict may be to us it wasn't in our hands and we shouldn't assume. And I would take our judicial system any day over others. Ask Amanda Knox her opinions right now.....

This post is off my Black Berry so please forgive the grammar. I believe the jury did the right thing today. There was to much reasonable doubt there was no DNA no forrensic evidence and no finger prints. They couldn't tell you how she died or even if it was intentional (murder) So in our system we ask that you prove beyond a reasonable doubt. The prosecution in my opinion did not do this and the jury agreed. I believe the defense did a spectacular closing argument that refuted much of the states evidence that showed reasonable doubt. Is casey a terrible person? Yes for the lies and how she acted after her daughters death (IE getting tattos, dancing, and partying) but that does not mean she killed her. In this country a suspect is innocent until proven guilty by law it is put upon the prosecution to provide the proof. IMO they did not provide proof and asked the jurry to make a leap of faith. They couldn't tell you how or why and just couldn't fill in the gaps. We may not have a perfect system but I believe it is the best in the world and I truly believe that in the system of reasonable doubt the right verdict was read.

OK, maybe they didn't prove murder, but child abuse at the very least.

You forgot war criminals Bush and Cheney, the dumbass cheetoe Boner (Boehner), Rand Paul....

I'll take Clinton any day. I made more money during the Clinton years than both Bush's. As a small business owner, no one was worse than Bush.

Just by not reporting your child missing for 30 days is child abuse, no question.

Just for the record: there was something weird about the whole family. Casey's brother told on the stand that his family didn't inform him or include him in any way during Casey's pregnancy and around the time of the birth, as if they didn't want him to know about what was going on. He just happened to see her belly at one point. The family's spokesperson who resigned called the whole family's behavior 'erratic'. If you ask me, I would say that Casey was either spoiled rotten or abused (or both) by her parents. I have a hard time believing that a normal family could spawn this sort of monster out of nowhere. Just my two cents.....

Someone above said "we don't know what the evidence was" actually, we do. They televised the ENTIRE case. Introduced all the evidence on tv and named every last bit of it. Was it painstaking? Yes. Was it necessary? Yeah.

I agree that they did leave reasonable doubt which is why I'm not surprised that she didn't get charged, but it doesn't make me happy one bit.

    My main question is this.

Since Casey Anthony was the main person of interest in that child's murder, and she was found innocent... Does anybody plan on going after finding the person who did kill that poor child?

If the prosecutors hadn't been gunning for the death penalty, Anthony may have been found guilty, at least that is what I heard on TV. They said that they blew the case by doing that because juries are reluctant to have someone put do death unless the prosecutors case is rock solid which, in this case, it was not.

It's a shame it took 6 months before the baby's body was found, so much evidence could have been lost in that time.

The thing is now, where does Anthony go? She's one of the most hated people in America. How much do ya wanna bet she has a book out in less than 6 months?

There is a lady in New Zealand who is bringing out a book about her "twins" that died and who she suspects killed them. Huge boycott of the book.. because the way the family has hushed the whole deaths is ridiculous. All involved should be put in prison until someone speaks the truth.

Sucks that somebody in the Anthony case knows something but nothing! same with the case in our country.

She's had an offer to do porn. If the universe was just, they'd find her decomposing body in a plasitc bag with duct tape in the swamp in 6 months. She didn't even report her kid missing for 31 days, that's child abuse right there and she was aquitted of that. If the issue was the death penalty, they still could have convicted on the abuse and put her way for 20yrs.

Maybe she'll start a thing with OJ. Will she wait for him to get out of prison though. She's got a lot of partying to make up for while she was behind bars waiting for trial.

No, I highly doubt that. They don't expect to find anybody else involved. What actually did happen is unclear, but she was clearly involved somehow. The thing is, they couldn't even prove that the child was murdered, only that the body had been hidden.
