The universe is indeed beautiful. If I weren't an Anthropology major, I think I would be in Astronomy. I'm a nerd, I know.

:lol lmao thats awsome , "Space is fucking beautiful, I'd tap it" thats fucking halirious Dreama :p

But space holds such diverse beauty, it boggles the mind, no idea how or why, but just to be able to travel out there to see things like those would be awsome.

Not a nerd just someone who enjoys things that captivate the eye and the imagination. unless im a nerd as well hehehehe

Supermassive black holes that contain millions to billions of times the mass of the sun are believed to exist in the center of most galaxies, including our own Milky Way.
    From wikipedia :)

You see the long grey lines being emited by the blackhole , they can span an entire galaxy which holds thousands if not millions of stars.

I used to love watching that seris with sam neal , one episode was all about black holes.

I love them , but an scared of just what they can do.
the difference is a sun going super nova can destroy the planets , a black hole can destory space and time.

Black holes are the most fuel-efficient engines in the universe, researchers say.
Steve Allen, of Stanford University in California, says if a car could operate the way a black hole does, it could theoretically go about 1.6 billion kilometres on 4.5 litres of fuel.
Black holes are fuelled by matter lured by the holes' vast gravity.
Their pull is so strong that nothing, not even light, can escape.
Most of the energy released by this matter as it gets close to the black hole's point of no return - known as the event horizon - shows up in the form of high-energy jets, which spew forth from magnetised discs of gas.
These jets speed away from the black hole at speeds up to 95 per cent of the speed of light, which is 300,000 kilometres per second, and create huge bubbles in the hot cosmic gas of the galaxies.
These bubbles can measure hundreds or even thousands of light years across.

By the ways hardrocker, im not meaning to sound out of order or anything, its just that a star can only do so much damage when going super nova, where as if a star collapses and makes a black hole, the black hole is an extremly devastating force.
