After 4 long months of cold and winter, we are finally coming up to
summer and BBQ season. Therefore, it is important to refresh your
memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking as it's the only
type of cooking a real man will do, probably because there is an element
    of danger involved.

When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following chain of events
    are put into motion:

    Routine...

    1) The woman buys the food.
    2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables,
    and makes dessert.
    3) The woman prepares the food for cooking, places it on a
tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and
takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill - beer in hand.

    Here comes the important part:

    4) THE MAN PLACES THE FOOD ON THE GRILL.

    More routine....

    5) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery.
    6) The woman comes out to tell the man that the food is burning.
He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he deals
    with the situation.

    Important again:

    7) THE MAN TAKES THE FOOD OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN

    More routine...! ..

    8) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins,
sauces and brings them to the table.
    9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.

    And most important of all:

    10) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts.
    11) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed her "night off".
And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that
there's just no pleasing some women.... [IMG]

LOL...that is so funny to me because it is my mom and dad COMPLETLEY. we had grilled potatos and deep fried turkey on sunday for dinner and mom prepared everything (well actually I preped the sides) for him, got the turkey ready, heated the oil, sliced and prepped the potatos. Then as we're eating Dad makes all sorts of comments like "gee we should have this more often" and stuff absolutely BEGGING for compliments

Sure wish I had a lady that did half that. Even when I was with a lady I bought the food, cooked the food, set the table, cleaned the table, cleaned the dishes.... I think I've been cheated.

Not all men are like that. Today I went to the store, bought all the fresh veggies and meats for the week/weekend, came back and cooked sauteed chicken breasts in a lemon basil sauce and complimented it with a veggie medley of scallions, diced mini yellow potatoes, sliced celery, diced carrots, and sliced green peppers. Then I prepared a rice and vermicelli side with a butter and herb sauce. Then I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. So for all the women out there who think men don't cook... you just have to find a better man! :lol

My wanted ad is that I will cook, keep the house neat, and do any hardware or construction things around the house if the woman is willing to dust and do laundry. those are the only two things I hate to do. If anyone wants to fill that spot I will :bow in your presence, oh and :p anytime you'd like ;)

Phew! I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't fit into the stereotypical male role. When I BBQ, I take care of almost everything. :) And I love to BBQ!
