Does anyone know what the components of asphalt are? Just wondering.
jus one............. a giant love for a lemon flavored popsicles...............
:lol You posted this thread moments before I was going to start a thread commenting that I find asphalt so much more comfortable to run on than concrete sidewalks. Asphalt has a kind of softness and give. I've heard that it almost functions like a liquid.
Edit: Or am I whining too much about the discomfort of concrete sidewalks?
Edit: Oddly enough, I prefer having sex on concrete than having sex on asphalt.
Oops--now this thread has to be moved to the Sex Discussions.
asphalt, also known as bitumen, is a sticky, black and highly viscous liquid or semi-solid form of petroleum. it may be found in natural deposits or may be a refined product, it is a substance classed as a pitch
I don't care what it's made of. The darn stuff still hurts when you trip over on it.
(Whine, whine, whine)

I'm glad y'all realized that I was just engaging my oddball sense of humor.
Samich, you naughty delightful woman but that post was just way too short for you.
How about mentioning something of the smell, texture, colour, thermal & acoustic properties?
Meee certainly made a good experimental observation; that concrete is a far better sex surface providing it is smooth.
Mr M Cock; succinct, factually correct and without a single spelling or homonym hiccup.
Mitt went to the trouble of searching for a literature scientific reference article.
You guys are just the best!
You talking about the shit my motorcycle kick stand sinks into in the summer...it sucks.
Yep, that is also true and have experienced first hand
Nerd note of the day: the 'tar' in tar pits (e.g. La Brea Tar Pits) is actually asphalt (thick petroleum).
Real tar comes from trees.
Have a good day
For me its the shit that breaks away underneath the rear tires of my Camaro Z/28 when doing a burn out.
I was gonna post a pic here (G rated), but I couldn't figure out how to do it without it ending up being just a link. I want the photo to show. How do I do that?

I used to work at an asphalt plant, if you ever really wanted to know what it's made of
No, not really. Starting a thread about asphalt was just me having fun with some things someone else said on another thread.
