The Dodge Tomahawk
Doesn't the Tomahawk have the V12 from the Viper?
Heres the specs for the Tomahawk

According to the official specs 0-60 mph times have been estimated at 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 300+ mph. But there are also reports that the top speed is 676 km/h (about 450 mph). (NOTE: These speed estimations do NOT account for wind resistance. They are gearing estimates only. A motorcycles top speed is determined by many variables, including wind resistance, driver's position, and road conditions.) It is very unlikely that anyone will ever test the vehicle, due to safety concerns and the price of the Tomahawk itself. Dodge has expressed interest in one day taking it to the Bonneville salt flats, but as of yet has not.
Vipers pack a 10 cyl.
Has anyone maxed out the Tomahawk? Some say it'll hit speeds of 350-400 or some crazy shit but nobody has the balls to try it. I mean, you wreck going that speed, you die. Just, period. Gone. I certainly wouldn't do it... I'd like to do a nice burnout on it though!!
Hahaha i hope Dodge get someone mad enough t otry it out on the salf flats....its been as it says tested at 300mph, some say 450mph...no wind resistance though so youd have to knock of a big chunk...
Either way i think it looks like a real beast..
Some guy from top gear had a nasty 300mph accident whilst testing some super car out or something, he was meant to have brain damage from the crash, and was uunlikly to pull through....hes now back in the show as good as new.cant remember his name for the life of me ...
there are some crazy people around .....id love to se it pushed to its upper limits, also to see it do a burnout...
So, tell me... how does one steer a bike that's heavy as shit, has a bigass engine, and contains 4 tires? How do you lean into a turn? If you don't lean, how do you turn without flipping over the other direction?
Thats the point about it having problems ( that problem being you need the solar system to do a 180 on it hehehe)
Its meant just as a straight line racer ...
Its basicaly a dragbike i think....and no ones mad enough to want to lean a dragbike or steer left or right in a dragbike/car (im not putting you down or anything here )
Im still learning about the bike as i only found out about it today, i had seen pics of it before online but never looked into it.
I put the pic up just because i thought it looked like one mean assed bike..
Its never going to be a raod bike ...
Lets face facts, That bike is meant only for show.
common sense dictates that it was never built to put on a road, ever
No marketed supercar can hit 300mph, yet. And as far as I know the only car crashed on Top Gear was the Koenigsegg CCX driven by 'The Stig' He planted it into a wall at about 85mph.
Fuck the Dodge Tomahawk, give me a Hayabusa Turbo. 800+ hp and GoKart weight.
That would be Richard Hammond AKA the Hamster. He was testing a jet car, had one run off the afterburner, one run on it, and they had barely enough time to do one more full thrust run and that's when he went down. But yeah, he's back and still his crazy old self.
Right. But I can't imagine building a concept drag bike since they already exist... nothing special. I can't imagine building a bike that can't turn. Again, nothing special.
Maybe they just wanted to spend a shitload of money on a big hype knowing that Dodge put a Viper engine in a bike? Pfft.
I like the look, it looks mean, its had some testig , its been used .
Maybe ( just a thought ) it was built with the idea of beating the world land speed record for a bike ...just a thought,, either ways i like the look of it ( looks like it should have been put in MADMAX )
None of those look safe. But they look like tv bikes.
If we all ask very nicely, Pirouette may post a photo of her trike....nice machine:cool
One of those trikes with the big fat wheels at the back... stretched out front end with the tiny wheel....those look really cool, bet there a load of fun to....
I'm surprised you remembered, HotWheels. ")
That's weird...I'm getting a 404 on that link, Pirouette. :shrug
I dont see a trike on their pirouette .....now im wanting to see it more hehe....
WTF's up with all the posts on cars and bikes? The men are taking over the forum with their "guy talk". Ugh.
::stomps from the room::
Yep, I screwed up....hang on, I think there's one in an old thread.
