    Don't park under trees.
    Have lots of fresh water.
Have a case of beer and a bag of weed.
    Have candles and a lighter.
Ladies, make sure the batteries in your vibrators are charged.

I can't wait for the storm, I'm going to go walk around in it again when it lands :)

About as far away as you can get...in a part of the country where nothing exciting (natural disaster wise) ever happens. Even the earthquakes don't hit hard here...had a 5.3 about 60 miles away last week, and could barely feel it... No tornados here, no hurricanes, hell it barely rains here......ho-hum....

No. I live in one of the most boring states...no disasters, mountains, ocean beaches. There is an area that is prone to flooding but that's a couple hours away.

I'm in southern Maryland. Wind and rain is supposed to start Sunday night and continue to about Tuesday. Already got my supplies ready.

I live in Florida and we haven't had anything in a few years. I find this highly unfair and think ninja hippy should pay retribution for this. :]

CT is supposed to get slammed on Monday night. Got the new house stacked with supplies. It took me 6 hours of calling/driving around and fighting crowds just to get a propane tank so if we loose power for more than a day the wife and I can make some food on the grill and boil some water. Now it's the waiting game and to see just how much hype this storm got if its a dud...

No, my turn to have hurricane parties :p Besides, your state keeps voting republican, if we fix the climate change, maybe you'll get your storms back. :p

I consider myself without country. Yes I am forced to live here for the time being but I refuse to pick between evil and more evil. I'm not in a delusional state that any party will be able to fix this mess we call the American Dream.

As I always state..."I'm currently looking for an island to inhabit where I can watch from afar as society implodes."

i am in the path but haven't really done much. i'm thinking maybe ill just leave until mother nature is done with her tantrum!

the worst of my troubles should be loss of power. no flooding for my condo because i am on a high floor. BUT loss of power is no fun!!!!

Sure is, I was playing in it with my cat today. She doesn't like cold paws, it's funny watching her skip around X3. I always love the winter because I can tuck up inside with candles and a good movie, and be comfortable ^^.

Bushfires and drought are all we ever have to tell with in my part of the world. No major earthquakes, no cyclones, no snow. Nothing particularly exciting. :(

What I've heard from bushfires sound horribly dangerous Oo.

The worst we ever deal with around my place is heavy winds during the summer months, and in the winter it doesnt get much worse than having to use a shovel to get to work X3. Last year the water froze in the pipes in my house. That was pretty annoying. I had to melt snow for drinking, but at least I HAD water, drought must be much worse!

Yes bushfires are pretty nasty. I've seen them from a distance but luckily I'm the suburbs and not really at risk, although they do come close enough to smoke me out.

We've always had water for essentials, thankfully.

I live in tornado alley. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania, and went to HS in Southern California, so Ill take the storms where all I have to do is hide in a hole in the ground...
