i'm just curious. I've been carrying for over a year now and feel so much safer. I love shooting. If you carry, what and where/how?

Me, I have a summer and winter gun. In the warm months, when my clothing is much skimpier, I carry a Glock 26. In the colder months, when I like to layer, I carry a Sig M11-A1.

I prefer to carry appendix IWB. Moreover, I can't even tell you how many times having my gun down the front of my bottoms has gotten me wet. There's something that really turns me on about having that cold steel touching my pelvis.

Nope I don't and I will never either.
I don't believe anyone should be allowed to carry a gun!

I don't think there's any need for any member of the general public to carry a gun. As they are going about their daily business. Weapons piss me off in general the more weapons people have including knifes e.t.c I actually feel less safe.

There's the 45 acp in the bedroom.
There's a 40 cal Ruger in the truck.
There's a Remington 308 in the downstairs safe.

I don't carry everywhere I go, but I have guns. And believe that responsible competent adults should carry if they choose to.

Me too! I feel less safe!
I think it's shocking that our school police officer carries a gun!

    Yes, I have a location...:D
I'm so glad I live in a country that has gun control laws...
It is such a shame that the level of paranoia has reached a point where so many people in the US feel they have to own/carry guns just to feel safe...:(

yes I do, not always but sometimes I do,and keep a gun on my night table, better safe then sorry,it only takes one bad day and you could lose your life.
I also like to trap shot, and I belong to a paint gun club,

The thing is if some nut job randomly comes at me or anyone else firing a gun or wielding a knife weapons in general..

It's very likely i'll lose and probably lose my life too. There will always be nutters out there. But if they come at me with their fists I have a much better chance to fight back , get away and escape with my life.

I do believe in having some means to defend yourself and your family though. If someone comes to your home wanting to take your stuff/hurt you or your family , then that's at their own risk.

    Interesting thread.

No, I don't own one so I can't carry it.

I wish I could carry. It's illegal, here and I don't do illegal things.

When these terrorists attack us, lots of people get images of them with their mobile phones. If some of them were carrying, perhaps they would have shot the terrorists, instead of just making movies while other people were being murdered.

I see myself as sheep, easy target for people to whom a human life means nothing.

It took a few Americans to put an end on a terrorist attack in an European train, recently. If there were no Americans in that train, with guts to risk their lives to save others, how many would have died?

We should learn not to be victims. I'd like to learn to defend myself, including by the use of firearms. Not to attack people, but to protect myself and other innocent people.

I'm against all sort of violence. But I'd like to have the right to protect myself if, and only if, I'm attacked, or to help an innocent person who's being a victim of violence. Mainly in my own home. I wish there were no firearms, no ammunition, but unfortunately, they do exist. As it stands, if I'm ever in the situation, I'll have to defend myself from a man with a kalashnikov, or bombs, with my bare hands. Or die like sheep.

Some good points sensless. The thing is though , with every one or the vast majority of people having a gun. The higher the chances will be of it leading to mistakes.

And there will be more and more people out there. Who will not have a clue what they are doing with this deadly weapon.

I respect your opinion, David. I think we're both right and both wrong.
