Was wondering any Bond 007 Fans here and who,s your favorite? Any thoughs on the new Casino Royale with Daniel Craig?

By the way Dalton is My favorite Bond. He is the closest to the Bond we read in the books. But i am getting excited about Casino Royale too.

YES! Connery. Moore wasn't bad, either; he had more of a comedic presence while Connery had the suave ladies' man demeanor. I like the looks of Craig, but haven't heard anything about the new movie. Does it sound good?

Dalton is my favorite Bond as well, and my favorite Dalton Bond movie is "The Living Daylights"

Some of my other faves from the eras:

Sean Connery: You Only Live Twice
Roger Moore: For Your Eyes Only
    Pierce Brosnan: Die Another Day

I'm looking forward to the new Bond film. I think the blonde, blue eye'd Craig will be great, and may bring back some of the old Moore appeal. :)

Brosnan was the most suave of all of them...

I have seen a teaser for the new movie Casino Royale. It did look good. I can,t wait to see it when it comes out. Looks like some kick ass action in it. No CGI stuff either, actual stunts.

Connery was good in the first three movies. Got bored with him after that. Never Say Never again was a good movie. Roger was good in his last three. Bronson was good in Goldeneye which should have had Dalton in it.

:autofire Tim Dalton? He sucks! Never like him. Glad that he only did 2. I was hoping that it would be his first and last one.

I prefer Pierce Brosnan, then Sean Connery.:ladiesman They did best on Bond 007 movies. I am not sure about Daniel Craig since he is new to Bond 007 movie. We will see how well he does in this new coming movie.

Timothy Dalton's portrayal of a harsh and ruthless James Bond was the closest to Ian Flemming's characterization of Bond in the original books. Roger Moore's suave, comical Bond was the biggest departure from the original Bond, although I do admire his many of his performances. I found the movie Never Say Never Again to be a bit odd, although it was cool seeing Connery playing Bond one last time. What was the name of the actor who played Bond in only in the film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service? He must have been seen as pretty bad otherwise they would have continued with him.

Hell yeah I second that. Dalton,s Bond kicked ass. Now that,s a Bond u don,t mess with. I still say he should have been in Goldeneye. I could see Dalton in a View to a Kill too. But I like Rogar in that one. The Living Daylights was very Fleming like. The opening where he is the sniper is down right Fleming. Very suspencefull. Does anyone read the Bond books?

Bronson was good in some scenes, but it was hard to see him as Bond since he was already on a american tv show for years.

Ohh OHMSS had George damm can,t spell his last name. LOL. But he actully wasn,t bad. He wasn,t replaced either. He chose not to do another Bond movie. But OHMSS is a awesome movie and for a bit of trivia. Dalton was first asked to be Bond in that movie. But he turned it down.

on Her Majesty's Secret Service, the Bond actor was George Lazenby. That's right, he chose not to act in another Bond movie so Connery returned to act as Bond once again. That was in 1969.

I haven't read any Ian Fleming's books at all. As I watched almost all of Bond movies, Connery set the baseline of what Bond's characters should be. Dalton is serious actor but not really like his acting anyway.

Yeah, Moore is Brit but he brought comic side to the movies. A bit turn-off.

Pierce's wife was big time Bond fan. He was once asked to play as Bond but he turned it down because of contracts with TV series - Remington Steel. After that, he was able to play Bond, which he made it to 4 movies. Unfortanely, his wife died before she had chance to see him acting in these movies.

Anyone know where name was created from? James Bond is very plain name as Ian was trying to find simple and plain and he found it right on his bookshelf.

Fleming got the name from the Book Birds of the West Indies by James Bond. It was sitting on his coffee table and he though the name was so plain and bland Fleming though it was perfect.
