    :lol
OK, I really like animals. We have always had cats and dogs in my family, and I have enjoyed reading about more exotic animals since I was a kid.

....but this sort of reaction (from the "Heroes" star Kristen Bell) , I don't get

Kristen Bell's Sloth Meltdown - YouTube

Kristen Bell's Flip Video after the Show - YouTube

I suppose it's nice that sloths have their spokesperson too:lol

It sort of reminds me of the video of the crazy cat girl from eharmony (but that one is probably fake)

Does anybody here have this sort of relationship with any animal(s)? I won't make fun, just curious :D

She was a little over the top LOL

I had a friend with a cougar. He had it for a number of years but the food got too expensive.

Have another friend that had a full grown Camen named Winston. He's in a zoo now... the Camen, not my friend LOL

Sloths are trending right now. The cute baby sloth videos are keeping Youtube in business. Baby bats are up and coming though.

    So sloths are in nowadays?
Lots of animals have had their day in the limelight:
    pandas
    baleen whales
    killer whales (Free Willy)
    pandas
mountain gorillas (remember Gorillas in the Mist?)
    dolphins (Flipper)
    did I mention pandas? :p

Otters were right before sloths, I think. Oh, and polar bears.

I have to admit that I have my own (rather random) preferences too including many of the animals mentioned above:)

I like whales, gorillas, many birds (barn swallows are very nice, and I positively inclined toward ravens and several owls). The octopus and cuttlefish are absurdly interesting.:lol

One of my newest favorites is the longest-living mammal, the bowhead whale (they can live for more than 150 possibly 200 years). Oh, and the great grey owl. :)

At one point we had a dog, 2 cats, 3 guinea pigs, a hedgehog, a rabbit, two fish tanks, two water turtles...we lost the dog, one pig, the hedgehog, but still have the rest.

The most I had at one time was 9 rats, 6 cats, 2 dogs and 1 budgie. I've only got one cat left out of that lot but now have 1 axolotl, 3 little fishies and a child.

A budgie or budgerigar is a small Australian parakeet.

An axolotl is the larval form of a variety of salamander.

My daughter's friend caught the fish from a nearby creek.

Nerdy note: the bonus is that the axolotl stays "baby" (larval) all it's life.:D

Here's a cute video of my favorite kind of owl, the great grey owl (it can be found all around the Northern Hemisphere from Norway to Canada). That's a wild owl being petted at the end. Don't do it if there is a owl nest nearby (seriously)
