I got through the first season last night. With the exception of the trek through the jungle (I don't like bugs very much, especially the exotic, poisonous kind) I am so jealous that he got to do all of that. He curmudgeonly went through the whole thing. His reactions were funny, though, lol.

Has anyone else here seen this show?

Hahaha, it's a "travel" show. Ricky Gervais is one of the producers. Him and the other producer have this friend who is extremely closed-minded about the different cultures of the world. He's afraid of new experiences, and can't stand being out of his comfort zone. The series is all about forcing him out of that by sending him to different parts of the world. They actually make it their mission to make him as miserable as possible hoping to broaden his mind a bit. Ricky describes it as the most expensive practical joke ever, lol.

In America, it's on the Science Channel. I've been watching it on Netflix. In the UK it's a channel called Sky 1. I imagine Sky 1 is like HBO because nothing is censored on the Netflix version.
