While taking a day off driving yesterday I went to a water park.
I have never been on a water slide but foolishly enough I got on
the biggest one they had, i was very surprised at how fast I went down
Around the last curve and their was the water, Some went up my
nose and gagged me, i was stunned for a second and the undercurrent
pulled me back under the slide and when I tried to surface my head kept hitting something (The bottom of the slide) And I did realize that I may be hitting the bottom of the slide so I shoved away violently only to hit my forehead on the skirts
around the bottom of the slide so I shoved down while breathing water.
The next I remember some Lady was pulling my head out of the water
Then the life guards came and got me out of the water,
Just made it back to Indiana 30 minutes ago with a headache from banging my head
and a chest pain from taking water into my lungs.

    Wont be doing that again.

Perhaps you're simply one of those species described as "Awkward in water".

I'm sorry, Hiker. I am glad you lived, though.
    Perhaps some swimming lessons?

So, Hiker, love, did you see a tunnel with a white light at the end?

*kisses Hiker's head and makes it all better*

I loathe water parks :p (I pretty much loathe any concept of garishly packaged pre-orchestrated "fun" where you have to stand in line for a half an hour for a two minute adrenaline rush.) My idea of mixing water and fun is a hot tub ;) Stick to those from now on and you'll be A-Ok.

Hiker, I completely understand your dilemna. I was a State champion swimmer in my younger years. And like riding a bike, the 'skill' never leaves you.
BUT- I absolutely hate waterslides. There's something unpredictable about them, and I DO have a healthy fear of water sports of any kind.

I find no fun things at water parks, aside from the bumper boats and perhaps the Wave Pool. Usually, I'd rather sit on the edge of a splashing area, with a corona light or a glass of pinot grigio. If I find a good place, I'll let you know about it and we can sit in the splashes and watch all the kids play with a 'near-death' experience. :rofl
