Have you ever wondered what's a condom tester life like? Do you know anybody who does this as a job?
Condoms are machine tested. I'm sure there are human testers but never heard of one.
I didn't even know that job existed, but it does! It doesn't sound any more exciting than trying a new clothes detergent, though LOL
How, exactly, does one test condoms? Just put ‘em on and see what happens?
No. The main stability test involves unrolling the condom onto a specialized post and forcing air into it until it expands to 40 liters in size. Then you measure the pressure when the condom bursts.
What happens after that?
We give the condoms to live consumers in a market research test – they use them four times and then report back. The fit, the feel, was it a pleasurable experience, was it a negative experience?
A friend of ours had that job for a while, but he got laid-off.
Had the job once, but their was a quality control issue, had to get a better paying job to pay all the child support payments.
I am sure it's a really 'hard' job lol!
We had some condom industry stocks, but decided to pull out.
When the condom bond market dipped, in order to sell, we had to pay a penalty for premature withdrawal.
That would be due to deflation
Anyway G'day to TLG, welcum to SF!
Have used a few but most are tested by machines now in factories.. Could be fun though if tested for real I guess

Take me a while to fill 40 litres...
What about the reusable ones...?
