I see something like that around every once in a while, but its usually not all black. Bees/wasps don't really scare me. I've never been stung, mostly because I don't freak out and try and hit them when they are on me.

    that thing is freakin huge!

We have something similar here in AZ(although smaller) it's called a carpenter bee and they chew on wood, I have no idea what that species is though

Yeah we have carpenter bees here in NC too, we also have these very large bees that are probably as big as Kronnie's bee but they do sting, they were brought here (I don't know from where) but they kinda look like a huge yellow jacket and they are very aggressive

and I have been stung many times but mostly when I was young, I use to dig up yellow jacket nest and kill them when they were around our house

Biggest bee i ever seen hehe....makes all the ones in england seem rather pathetic :p....

They are about the same size as this asian hornet, but not as long, and also wider and bulkier..
Its wierd ive lived in england , yugoslavia and saudi arabia ( but here in France theres so so many wierd and strange bugs, and some just freak me out..)

I didn't get stung. But I was around 13 or so, so when I saw it I freaked out and started to run... And the bastard chased me. It was funny for everyone but me. Bees usually hover and stuff, but I was full on running.
