A couple weeks ago I ordered a new laptop. I got a call 3 days ago that it was supposed to be delivered today. Due to complications with my credit cart, I had to have it shipped to the same address ad my credit card statement: my home. Unfortunately there is no one at home during the day.

So yesterday I arrange with my mother-in-law next door to sign for the shipment when it arrives. She agreed to be on the look-out for me. We reminder her again last night of the importance of this shipment.

I check the tracking this morning, and she wasn't home to receive the package. GRRR!!!! I called my wife (who works across the road), and she confirmed that her mom had left without explanation. Had she had known, she could have changed my note to direct the driver to the building across the road instead of next door.

So now my package gets to sit in a warehouse overnight. They will attempt delivery again tomorrow, but won't give me an approximate time. So if my MIL is as unreliable tomorrow as she was today, I'm probably going to be without it for the weekend as well!

Hmm... I love sex. I love talking about it, learning about it, giving advice and understanding the how, what, when, why and where's of sex. But...lately I just feel so discouraged about it. I finally sent it away for repairs a few weeks ago, and just heard back this morning. The power supply in it has failed (a common problem), but it's only going to be $100 for the repair and upgrade to ensure it doesn't happen again. So keep your fingers crossed for me, I may have my receiver back soon!

Using my new shadow brush, I applied 4 shades of eye shadow to my lids and brows. The brush made blending it so much easier! I then decided to give eye liner another try. I've never been good at it, and it always turned out horribly. I first attempted it with a standard pencil, but either my pencil sucked, it was too dull, or I just can't figure it out. So I put that back into the bag and pulled out my liquid liner. Very carefully I applied it to my upper and lower lids, taking time to stay steady, and using my new makeup mirror to better see what I was doing. The result wasn't perfect, but it was by far the best I had ever done! Yay me!

I finished with my eyes, and went to work at my lips. I had a new shade of lipstick, and decided to try applying it with a lip brush for the first time. The lip brush was tedious, but I likes the results. And I love the new shade! After my lips, I finished the look with some blush (another new shade) and some setting powder.

With my face done, it was back to my room to put on my wig and earrings. A quick brush of the hair and I was good to go. I grabbed the toys and headed out to the living room, the high heels of my boots clicking against the floor. I got things ready, and set up my camera for a few stills. As many of you know, I started running last summer in an effort to get back in shape. At the time all I had to run in was a worn-out pair of cross-trainers. Great shoes for walking, but hardly great for running.

At first it didn't present itself as a problem, since my running distances were still very short. But as I progressed, and began running further and faster, the limits of my shoes became apparent.

Well, after running in them for 2 summers, and walking in them for 2 years prior to that, I decided it was finally time to retire my trusty New Balance sneaks. On the hunt I went for a good dedicated running shoe that wasn't overly expensive. My search came to an end yesterday.

I bought a pair of Saucony Grid Excursion TR3, and I'm VERY happy with them.

I ran 6 KM in them today, and they felt great. And even better: I had no knee pain even without my knee brace!
