Another single guy here. Right now it's mainly by choice though. I moved out here to help my ex, and we had a shot at things again and it was not meant. We were quickly back into the old routine of petty spitefulness and such. She left, I chose to stay here, despite the fact she calls again. We're friends, and we work fine that way. She'd like to go at it again, I wouldn't.

I've made a few attempts at meeting people IRL here, and I'm just not very good at it. I'm not that confident really, and I don't have my life in order yet. Eventually I'll get my shit together and I'll meet someone for me, but I try not to worry about it for now. I have people I've met and I talk to that I care about, and that is good enough.

No, seriously, I could have toned it down a bit, remained a virgin....hell no, but we probably didn't need the contest or 3 girls in one night kind of stuff. It's a tough call, I still have contact with 9 of the 46 prior to my wife and I've seen how they are now, not that there is anything wrong with what they are doing, but it's not the way I'd want to live. We're still friends, just glad I'm not married to them. The question is, if I wasn't such a horn dog on the prowl...would I have met my wife, who turned out to be the perfect one for me....and the strange thing is I was getting ready to pounce on another girl there. We had gotten there and this was a fresh crowd, so we sized up the fresh meat and who to go after. My wife was "late to the party" and had just gotten there. She actually picked me up. It was kind of strange since after talking to her friends, she had never done, I was used to getting hit on, but prefered to do the "hitting" as I was so picky. Would we have met if I wasn't looking for more women? Would I have known there was something special here if I hadn't had so many women before? Do I feel remorse to some of the girls I hurt by being Quagmire long before the character existed, yes. Can't change the past.

Mind you, that was back in the day when the most you could catch could be cured with a shot or shampoo. The days of "free love". These days there is so much shit running around....I'd probably be dead.
