Snow day!

So hows the snow around your area? =]

I woke up at 6am to catch the bus an hour and a half early, they aren't the best even in good weather and I went to wait for the bus at 8am. It's only a 5 minutes bus ride. Anyways after 1/2 hour a lady came and said they were stuck down the hill and couldn't get up it so me and 3 other people at the bus stop banned together and walked to town where I was just about in time for my exam!

College has been cancelled (I had evening classes to go to) and the buses won't come through the estate.

Also very disturbingly two 10 year olds walked past me (girl and boy) and the said:

Boy... have you had that test at school yet?
Girl... What test?
Boy... The Clamidyia one.
Girl... What's Clamidyia?

Snow? Yeah, we've got it... about 15" on the ground so far this winter. It's snowing right now, too. It was -7 F according to the weather man this morning. Brrrr! I'd rather deal with snow than bitter cold.

Heh...snow days.

We've had a ton of snow so far and it's still quite early in the season. Snow days rarely occur here in Sweden. I've talked to people who grew up in Northern Sweden (within the Arctic Circle), and even they have a hard time recalling a time when school or work was canceled due to snow.

I'm in South Australia. Yes unfortunately you can only strip off so far. Still at least we're not as likely to get stranded due to our heat as others are by snow, so I guess it evens out.

I'll take the heat. I would rather it be a 100°F than 30. But it helps to have any sort of swimming pool, ocean, or lake nearby. I can't get warm enough in the winter. I don't like having to wear so many clothes.

It's supposed to be above freezing today for the first time since Jan. 1. I was outside for most of the morning and the air felt downright balmy. When I came inside at 11:00 it was up to 30. Life is good.

We've had a real mix of temperatures here, but on the average the temps are higher than normal. We've got snow cover, but we still have not gotten any big storms. I'm anxiously awaiting a big one.

Another snowday (I didn't have college lol) so I went to Stafford Castle and made a snow guinea pig =]

I hate that it's hard to make a snowcritter without fucking up the snow all around it.

Adelaide's sun is too intense to go to the beach in the daytime. Temperatures of over 40C (104F) are common throughout our Summer. Even walking to the car, you feel scorched because there's no cloud cover. Unfortunately I can't afford a pool of my own, so I just stay inside by the air conditioner. Also the air conditioner in my car needs replacing (the compressor's stuffed) so going anywhere is unpleasant.

However I haven't experienced the temperatures you're talking about, we only go down to daytime temperatures of about 10C (50F) in Winter so I can't make an honest comparison.
