The other day, my 11 year old son and I were looking out the sliding glass doors, watching my two horses dozing in the pasture.

I said to my son, "Which one do you think is more beautiful?"

He said, "R."

I said, "What makes you say that?"

He said, "Well, since you shaved A.'s mane off he kinda looks like......" He paused and thought a moment then asked, "What do you call girls that like girls, again?"

I said, "Lesbians."

He said, "He looks like a lesbian."

I tried to keep a straight face but failed miserably, then I explained to him that not all lesbians had short hair. I also explained that there are a lot of very beautiful lesbians, so just because A. may look like a lesbian in his eyes, that should not make him unattractive.

Now, if you will please excuse me, it's a nice day, so I'm off to saddle up my lesbian.

Well, I didn't end up going. After I fiishing brushing my horse, (he is shedding something fierce) my throat about closed up and I was so conjested I could not breathe. Apparently, I'm allergic to lesbians.

Seriously, I am very allergic to horses and this time of year is pure torture, but so worth it, just the same.
