| Posting Links and Advanced Options
Some link posting strategies have taken me a while to learn, and I forget them after a while, so I thought I would start a thread for posting techniques.
I try to post my links in the Links Thread, under the GENERAL SEX TALK forum, and then in the other Forums, I try to provide a link to that SF forums link thread. That seems to be the least Spammy way to put in a handy reference.
To link to a particular SF post, find the poster, and note down the date of the post. Click on the poster's name, then click on FIND ALL POSTS BY _____, then go to the date othe post you want to link. Click on the first underlined line in the post description, which takes you to the post. Highlight the post designation code, inside the box at the top, starting with: "http://www.________," right click, and click Copy. Then go to the post where you want to insert the link, position the cursor, right click, and left click PASTE.
Using this mehtod to post an SF Link, shows the exact post to which I am referring to. Going through the Forums and pages, the Link would put the reader at the tp of the pafge of posts. Going to the poster, and selecting the exact post, displays the exact post I was referring too. The page of posts can be scrolled to, btu the post that ppears on the screen is the one I was referring to.
I have sometimes referred a Link from a Search. Then the word I was searching for, appears in RED on the post that appears, from the Link I provide. Having my search words in red may be more relevant to my twisted sense of memory, rather than the point that might be helpful to the person I am attemptiong to enlighten.
To put in smilies, when editing, click on the GO ADVANCED Box, at the bottom of the post Editing Rectangle.
