Suddenly exposing those blood vessels to this wonderful pleasure could cause some sort of muscular reaction. But remember, none of us are doctors here, so we're all just speculating.

Another possibility is that she is experiencing some form of vaginismus. That's when penetration is painful and even next to impossible, due to the uncontrollable tightening of the muscles at the vaginal opening. She could try some PC exercises to gain more control over these "unruly" muscles, and it can be treated, but a GYN needs to be brought into the picture.

It is thought that many cases of vaginismus are psychological in nature - brought on by sexual abuse, fear of the pain or, as you mentioned in your original post, upbringing that insinuates that sex is somehow taboo or "wrong".

I applaud your sexual awakening and hope that this minor setback won't keep you from pressing forward. I once had a pastor who told me that what a couple does in the privacy of their own bedroom (or wherever) is their own business. It develops a closeness and one-ness that is the epitome of the union our Creator had in mind from the beginning of creation!
Thanks Rose. I'm not 100% sure what 'PC' means...did I mention I'm kinda repressed and 'new' to this world of actually 'talking about sex'?

I can't offer any advice to you about your wife, I just thought I'd let you know it's happened to me and that maybe it's not all that uncommon.
THANKS...this will be encouraging news to my wifey!

Wait just a damn sec ... I thought you all got rid of that doctrine a while back ...

Most of us men can barely handle one women ... having to deal with multiple ones would probably kill most of us.

Dude, I think you are worrying about something that you do NOT need to worry about! The odds that she will leave you for another woman are pretty slim to none. On the other hand, you helping her open up her mind and really enjoy the gift of sex will absolutely endear her to you, in my opinion! So, work on dropping your own inhibitions and insecurities too. In fact, if your wife is bi-curious, one day you very well might get to experience something that most men can only fantasize about...a threesome with your wife and another lady!

And your last statement really says something great in my opinion...you are putting your wife before your own concerns (although helping her open up sexually is also a good thing for you as well!). That's a very unselfish statement...kudos to you!

I'm becoming more and more convinced that human beings simply reach a point where they start to reject rules that don't seem to have a good reason to exist (like anti-porn, etc.) and just learn to enjoy ourselves and live a little, rather than trying to morally reform everyone else.

Cute little diversion of humor (yes, the little smileys didn't go unnoticed ) - but let's be careful to
#1: Stay on topic.
#2: Refrain from singling out any one religious organization.

It's common knowledge that many religions 'demonize' the enjoyment of sex, even among married couples. The broader we keep this thread, the more useful it will be across the board.

When I was a teenager, we didn't have MTV.
We had to take drugs and go to Rock Concerts!

I make fun of every religion. I promise I'm not biased.

Thanks. I'm hopeful too. I'd say I'm 80% hopeful and 20% worried. Though, my wife herself expresses this 'worry', as in what if she is 100% lesbian and is just making the transition over. I think she's more like 50% and 50% on the worry scale. Time and experience will tell. And yes, it'd be a fantasy come true my friend.

Dude ... I've got a feeling that you have little to worry about in the realm of losing your wife to another woman. Fantasies are just that. Plus the more you and she slowly expand you sexual horizons and explore new/different things together, the more that bond between you and she will strengthen even more. Sharing something new and intimate can do amazing things for and to the bond you have with someone you love.

Just my thoughts...

Now, I wouldn't want more than one wife...that would be one helluva honeydew list. But one wife and a few girlfriends...I could dig that!

In addition to the vibrator, which has really helped her to feel sensations much better (she's always had issues with feeling sensations down there)...my wife has realized / strongly feels that she is bi-sexual. So this has meant a gradual 'opening up' of new things: talking about / having her fantasize about being with women, her watching LWord and online videos of girls making out etc, (with clothes / lingerie etc.). I'll sneak in the odd video of naked women going all the way, but it makes her upset as she feels too guilty to watch 'real porn' at present (30 years of religious mind control doesn't get undone in just a few weeks, but we're working on it). She actually actively protested against porn for years within our church. So as well as the religious things she's working on de-programming, she has the moral 'porn is bad' to de-program too (if she chooses to).

That's pretty much it...my wife is on the road to allowing porn into our sex lives, she feels strongly that she's bisexual (and is VERY interested in having experiences with women)...and as for me, I'm actually a bit worried that she'll like women more than, well, me and what will that mean for 'us'. THANKS.
I don't think you have too much to worry about, with her leaving you for a woman, however, I do think it is a normal concern to have.

My husband expressed the same concerns to me when he gave me his blessing to find a little playmate for myself. After we invited him in for a threesome all thoughts of me leaving him for her, left his head. Now he asks me when I am seeing her next and has actually told me he is happy for me to have a threesome with her and her husband...... opening our minds, hearts and bodies to other experiences can be scary, but OMG it is so worth it.......
