Hey, check out my bush!

Yeah, I know some of you are disappointed, but I'm not. I've had this pathetic little miniature mountain laurel bush for over 6 years and it's never produced anything but a handful of leaves. I had about given up hope on it and was ready to dig it up and toss it, and then, I saw buds forming. It finally flowered a coupla days ago.

I think I like the buds as much as the flowers. Far out, man!

Question: Are Mountain Laurel native to Upstate New York? They are native to Virginia, and you can see those lovely, profound flowers all along trails and roadsides - totally unattended by mankind! A family-member to azaleas and rhododendrons, they grow crazy around here! I love 'em!!

They are lovely. I also like the look of buds on many flowering plants as much as the flowers themselves.

Notice the level of restraint Cook has shown in not mentioning anything about your pink bits...your gorgeous, soft, sweet smelling pink bits . Damn! I knew I couldn't hold it off for long!
