Ha! The first time I had sex we used an ancient condom he'd kept in his wallet for eons...bad, bad, very bad idea

Nothing terrible came of that incident (thank goodness), but, right, storing a condom in a wallet can compromise its structural integrity (I love how you phrased that!

).
From condomman.com: "Firstly is the old question of keeping your condom in your wallet. The reason behind why this is a bad idea is because, over time, your body heat can weaken the latex of the condom. If you put the condom in your wallet, and then the wallet in your back pocket, that condom is trapped in all of that body heat for a considerable amount of the day, for days at a time. The ideal temperature for storage of your condom is room temperature."
The best thing would be to put the condom in your wallet right before you leave for your date (or what-have-you). It'll survive just fine for a few days, but you really shouldn't leave it in there longer than that.
