I can't for the life of me understand why this act is so popular - any flick I see with anal penetration looks so unpleasant and downlight painful - is it really that satisfying, not that I'm interested - the little woman would never go that way and I know I wouldn't but how do you all feel about it?

thats because a porno will not be there to show what it can be like between 2 loving partners, porn is only showing 2 people getting paid to fuck , not to make love theres a huge difference.

Anal for both sex's can be amazing, but vaginal intercourse is not wasted , it isnt one or the other , it uis usualy both, but obviously never anal to vaginal.

That's like saying, to me anyway, why have anything else to eat but basic foods or watch just one channel or read just one newspaper. For that matter, why anything other than one position for regular vaginal sex.

It can be very painful and unpleasant, but with the proper preparation (good lube, anal stimulation beforehand to loosen the sphincters, and anal dilation using objects smaller than a penis, over a period of time, until the anus/rectum can handle a penis without any discomfort), and a lover who knows to go slowly and thrust gently, it can be an amazing experience for both parties. Some women have their best orgasms this way. It's not for everyone, however, and a woman has to want it badly (and there's no way to induce this desire in a woman--it has to happen naturally).

When i go to the store and see anything edible that I have never
tried before I buy it and eat it. Except parsnips.

My problem is size, particularly girth. My wife is not particularly keen on anal in the first place, but when considering my girth, it is certainly not something she wants to try! A few other partners in times past were open to the idea of anal, until they saw me ready. Without boasting, I am quite thick and am probably as thick (if not thicker) than most guys you will see on porn movies.

My view is that you can ask for a mainstream sexual act a few times, or else your partner may never advance beyond the blushing virgin bride.
