A well-built man was forced to take a drugs test in Stockholm recently after a police officer assumed that muscles like his could only have been developed with the help of illegal substances.

The female assistant police officer got into a conversation with Tomislav Boduljak and his friend late at night in central Stockholm.

According to Boduljak, 27, the police officer was pleasant at first, but changed her attitude when he said he worked out. Saying his muscles were 'abnormal', she said he must have used drugs.

"I asked if she didn't think it possible that I work out a lot and eat well. She said that if someone looks like me, she assumes they have taken drugs," he told Metro.

Despite Boduljak's assurances that he didn't use steroids, she forced him to go to the police station and give a urine test. In her report, the officer said he had "unusually large muscles, particularly large arm muscles, which are a sign of steroid use."

The test was negative, and Boduljak made an official complaint against the police officer. Prosecutors looked into the case, but decided not to pursue it.

Janne Magnusson, an officer at Stockholm Police's drugs unit, told Metro that he thought that the officer had been "a bit too ambitious".

Thats really amazing. It kinda seems like it might happen more though with all this steroid issues going on,

and theres always new forms of drugs to help out people to become bigger than possible without drugs help.........types that are so new they dont come up on a drugs test...

its why the olympics commite are having such a hard time finding all the cheats ..

She was a green cop. Eager to spot something with her keen eye to impress her superiors at the station. Instead, she's probably getting laughed at, as deserved.

She should get her ass kicked by a female weight lifter. And record it and put it on youtube. That shit pisses me off. We train hard, we eat well despite temptation, and we keep to a strict schedule. Then that happens. Really good motivation to lift weights.

Yeah, thats really ridiculous. You can't just go around arresting people on suspicion, the whole world would be piss tested daily.

They'd get something a little thicker if they did that to me.

Around here, men can get arrested for having only one large muscle!

Never seems to amaze me what police will arrest people for. Just because someone has big muscles, does not mean they do steroids

Don't go loping the police into this statement -- it was an idiotic move by a rookie cop. I know several cops and they wouldn't do anything this stupid.

People complain now, but who do you call when something bad happens? That's right -- the police.

Exactly, Dazed. That's why the story was posted in the first place, because it was about something out of the ordinary, an extraordinary mistake made by an over-zealous rookie cop. No need to take offense.

Sadly in england that is all the police need to stop search and arrest, reasonable suspission.

Dont like the look of your face, your young looking for driving a hot car any number of things.
Not to sure how it works in other countries though.
