I wanted to be specific.

The actual dictionary definition of slut by Merriam-Webster online Dictionary is a promiscuous woman and promiscuous is defined as a woman who has more than one partner at the same time. Typically this means any woman that has an open relationship, has a threesome, or has a cuckold experience can be considered a slut. This therefore means slut is not an idiomatic word but a word that be applied to any woman who has more than one partner at a time. Therefore, no offense intended, the numbers you have come up with are arbitrary and does not meet the definition of a slut.

I dont agree with that...and here's why:

There are men and women out there who are giving their love up for nothing...the men treat them like nobodies, like disposable ass...and the girls are walking around with nothing to show for it. No dinner dates, no car, living with mom, wearing dingy clothing...while the men are using them like blowup dolls.

I just cannot understand the American concept of having sex just to have sex. The only exception is being married or in a relationship. But if its casual sex...the person with the most assets/money should be willingly sharing it with their sexpartner. And Im talking about simple stuff. A phone bill so the person can be contacted next time. Taxi money to get home. The car breaks down on the way home from the fuck-fest, the guy should be willing to help her out get it fixed if he/she drove out to meet him! But most guys wouldn't even care to do that, even if the person drove 100 miles to visit them! Of course they will, but 'sluts' dont MAKE them do it...they have sex and then dont feel that the men are responsible for taking up their share of responsiblity. I damn sure would, and I do. Its stingy and selfish to have sex with someone, and then not give a damn about their personal life. I couldn't live with the shame....

Since when is sex and one of the parties financial position related? If it is the partner is either a spouce, or a madam, or a kept man/woman.

To the OP's question, I feel like being a slut or not being a slut is about attitude, not a number. I really don't care how many men a woman has slept with----really I don't. My girl can't even remember how many dude's she's been with. She used to be a real wild-child when she was younger. But it doesn't bother me at all.

The attitude however, is a big deal. If she takes the stance that " Oh well, I figure if I sleep with him enough then I can pull him away form his wife and I can move in that house...." Shit like that....When the sex turns into a means for her to get something. If she has ulterior motives other than just enjoying the sex, then she's a slut---in my book.

If someone has literally a new person every week they would seem "slut" like...but. "slut" to me means many partners, there is probably a more proper word for that as the previous poster stated it is when you have more than one partner at once.
if both are responsible consenting it's 100% good i think anyway!
Ideally though, people would only make love, not have sex....so i don't see anything wrong with others having sex with people they love. Usually one won't run through boyfriends as quickly as one night stands so it depends. That means the number would be lower...usually one wouldn't run through more than 2 serious loves a year i think. But everyone is different. And i'm just one opinion.

Personally I like slutty-minded women. A woman who is comfortable with her sexuality is a big turn-on.

I've had many sexual partners too, so I don't think one set of rules should apply to men and another to women.

What you said was beyond rude
